About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching if applicable.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using feedback to help students excel.
  • Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity and enthusiasm for scientific discovery.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and initiatives within the Science department and school.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome too.
  • Have at least six months of teaching experience in the UK.
  • Possess a degree in a Science subject or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a passion for Science and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development and improving student outcomes.
  • Be an excellent communicator with strong classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
