Production Planner

About Our Client

This position is with an organisation known for its expertise in the industrial/manufacturing sector. The company is committed to delivering high-quality products and maintaining an efficient supply chain.

• Collaborate with the Production team to ensure customer dispatch deadlines are met
• Assist in demand planning and labour capacity forecasting
• Prepare and issue production paperwork, including kitting as required
• Participate in daily shortage meetings with Supervisors to address material or production gaps
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with both production and purchasing departments
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and apply LEAN methodologies where applicable
• Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for presentation to the management team
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills; effectively liaise with all departments to ensure smooth operations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Planner should have:

• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector
• Excellent organizational abilities with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Solid understanding of inventory control and supply chain best practices
• Skilled in cross-functional communication and collaboration with various departments
• Able to perform effectively in high-pressure environments and meet critical deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis
• Familiarity with SAP; experience considered a plus
• Hands-on experience with production and capacity planning processes

• Salary circa £45k per annum (day rate equivalent), depending on experience.
• Temporary contract offering flexibility and valuable industry experience.
