Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Facilities Technician to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. You will work closely with the Head of Facilities and other team members to identify and address facility-related issues and support ongoing projects.We strive for excellence in everything we do. What you will be doing:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including mechanical, minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Monitor and inspect building systems to ensure they are in good working order.
- Respond to facility-related issues and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of equipment and materials for projects.
- Maintain and update facility maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for facility improvements.
- Participate in meetings and trainings to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Facilities.
- Previous experience as a Facilities Technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and systems.
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance tasks in various trade areas, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment related to facility maintenance.
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed.
- Valid driver's license.
