SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a dynamic SME based on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon.

We are seeking a part qualified or qualified by experience accountant to step up into a Company Accountant role, working closely with the Financial Controller

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Management:

• Preparation, review, and reporting of financial performance to senior management and the Managing Director.
• Management of a Finance Assistant, coordinating day-to-day tasks and ensuring all financial deadlines are met.
• Preparation and posting of general ledger journals.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Handle HMRC VAT & PAYE returns to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee full payroll management, including auto-enrollment pension submissions.
• Manage online bank accounts and ensure all transactions are accurate and up to date.
• Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reports.
• Prepare and report on short- and long-term budgets, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
• Oversee cash flow management, including regular forecasting and reporting.
• Manage sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice production and credit control.

Potential for Role Development

As the business grows, there is an opportunity to develop this role into a Finance Director position, with added responsibilities such as:

• Development of the annual operating budget in consultation with senior management.
• Provide advice on financial strategy and support the achievement of the company's financial goals.
• Analyse revenue projections versus actual figures, providing insights to management.
• Work with the Managing Director to assess long-term financial trends and prospects for future growth.

This role will initially be based on site with future flexibility around hybrid working.
