Job overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic administrator lead to join CNTW’s Safeguarding and Public Protection (SAPP) team. The SAPP Team aims to support all trust staff to keep children, young people and adults at risk, safe. As admin team lead you will be responsible for facilitating the smooth and efficient day to day functioning of the team.
We’d love to hear from you if, in line with our values, you are a caring and compassionate individual who thrives in a busy but supportive work environment. You should have previous secretarial/clerical experience and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, and possess good organisational and planning skills. Previous experience of managing people / teams is desirable as is the ability to utilise the available suite of Microsoft Office applications.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the Safer Care Directorate. They will assist the Associate Director, undertake all administrative duties within the specified area under the direction of the Associate Director Safer Care required, and ensures all necessary systems/procedures are completed efficiently and accurately.Manages the administrative team with responsibilities for all staff issues including recruitment, appraisal, training, performance management, and providing supervision and support. Monitors and improves Quality Standards of administrative and clerical services within own team.
Manages holiday requests to ensure clerical cover at all times for Safeguard and Public protection Team.

Person specification
Education and Qualification
Essential criteria- RSA/NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent level of qualification or relevant proven experience
- Good standard of literacy
- ECDL qualification
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria- Working within established administrative processes and systems in a busy environment
- Microsoft Office
- Have working knowledge and understanding of the NHS code of confidentiality and related confidentiality guidance
- Taking minutes at meetings
- Experience of using Ulysses Safeguard Risk Management System
Skills and Competencies
Essential criteria- Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
- Good communicator with good writing, data entry and telephone skills
- Being able to manage own workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Accurate keyboard skills
Role/Team specific requirements
Essential criteria- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working
- Understanding of the principles of good customer care
