CIS Security have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Security Officer who will demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users at prestigious gallery located in London.
The Senior Security officer reports to the Duty Supervisor and Controllers who are Shift Leaders and responsible for managing The Control Room/Reception for the security team at the Courtauld Institute of Art Gallery from 07.00 – 19.00 and 19.00-07.00, 24hrs a day 7 days per week. always Ensuring Security of the Courtauld Institute of Art.

Ensuring the reception desk and the Control Room are kept secure from non-licenced operatives as the nerve centre for all security alarms, surveillance and access systems.

Position: Senior Security Officer – Gallery Environment
Location: London (WC2R)
Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour
Hours: Average 42 hours per week

Shifts: 4 on 4 Off Nights - and occasional Days

Job Requirements:

SIA Door Supervisor Licence required
CCTV licence & First Aid would be required
Corporate Security or Front of House Experience is required
Must be flexible to change due to operational needs
Excellent communication both written & verbal
Excellent levels of customer service and attention to detail at all times
Able to work as part of a team as well as on your own

Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor CCTV to prevent criminal activity in the building.
Respond to all alarm activation and oversee Security Accident/Incident and Investigate fully.
Be familiar with and experienced in evacuation procedures for the buildings.
Proficient in use of all electrical and computer systems in Control Room – including programming the Staff ID card system, CCTV and Review Systems and ISIS tagging system.
Ability to work unsupervised as part of a team and make appropriate decision using own initiative.
Ability to Identify and resolve problems, issues and concerns promptly and effectively and to communicate and liaise regularly with Security Manager.
Ensuring the Control Room equipment’s and systems are fully operational at all times. Report all operational issues, equipment not functioning to Facilities Helpdesk.

Able to reboot each Security System on commencing of each shift.

Able to fully investigate on Control Room systems and write accurate Incident reports
Ensure documents are always checked and topped up when required.
Complete Daily Occurrence Book fully and accurately.
Making sure log books and all control room documents are completed correctly and a full handover report is passed onto the relieving Officer.
Read and action as per the logs made in Security Diary to be actioned.
Carryout daily account for Keys, Passes and Security Radios.
Able to carry out weekly Fire Alarm tests and Fire Alarm report generated and emailed to Management Staff.
Carryout monthly First Aid kit check.
Arranging log of lost property and safe keeping of high value items.
Be professional when answering telephone calls or replying to emails.
Complete daily overnight reports to management Staff.
Email Facilities Helpdesk on findings on building defect, faults, failures and any other findings.
Email occupants of rooms/areas of any breach of Security or findings.
Assist in arranging training for all staff, including new Staff, Site Induction, Customer Service, First Aid and all other training as required.
Monitor Lockdown of the Building.
Ensure all Nightshift Patrols are carried out accurately and all documents completed.
Arrange all Emergency callouts for the Building as necessary.
Always to lead by example, set high standards, be prompt, smart and efficient, provide clear communication to all staff and client.
Be flexible in approach to additional emergency cover of shifts and willing to cover any Extra Hour duties when and if required.
Assist Security Manager on requirements for completion of CIS Security Monthly reports.
To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities when requested by duty controller and Security Manager.
Library evening and weekend cover.
To deputise when requested for Duty controller to cover holiday and absences.
