Day-to-day of the role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:- Provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning activities to meet the needs of each child.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupils to engage and thrive.
- Assist with the development of social skills and independence among pupils through carefully planned activities.
- Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to help further support the children’s educational journey.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with transferable skills.
- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and the desire to go above and beyond to help them succeed.
- Confidence in handling the challenges that come with working in a special needs environment.
- Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
