Fixed Term Contract - Term Time

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at The Paragon School, Bath.

The SEND Teaching Assistant plays a key role in supporting staff to meet the needs of children with additional needs within their year group, both in the classroom and during unstructured times. They will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the cognitive, social, and emotional development of the children.
The role involves providing whole-class support, assisting teaching staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across various subjects, and contributing to a stable, secure, and supportive classroom environment. Additionally, the position includes some intervention work, such as leading small groups for booster activities in numeracy and literacy.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar environment, supporting children with ADHD and/or Autism, and possess a passion for helping children reach their full potential.

This fixed term contract is for the duration of the child being in school or needs change and will commence once all pre-employment checks are successfully completed.

The Paragon is an independent, co-educational day school based in a beautiful Georgian house a mile from the centre of Bath. Catering for more than 250 children aged three to 11, we offer a broad curriculum taught in small classes by teachers with a real passion for their subject.

The school comprises Squirrels Pre-School, a Pre-Prep and Prep School. The Paragon is the junior school of Prior Park College and part of the Prior Park Schools family which also includes Prior Park School in Gibraltar.
