Permanent Part time Receptionist in Urology Outpatientsbased at City campus
  1. 5 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday
You must be committed to a high standard of patient care and safety. You will have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You will have good organisational skills and be able to manage your workload effectively. It is essential for you to be competent in using computer systems as you will be trained to use Medway PAS and other hospital systems appropriate to the role.

We require good communication skills and an excellent telephone manner.

Professionalism is expected within this role.
You will have a good command of the English language with the ability to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and you must be well motivated and reliable, with a “can do” attitude. Due to the sensitivity of the role you will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues.

The ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload whilst remaining patient focused is essential.

As a receptionist you will be the first port of call for patients attending reception for appointments and day case attendances. You will ensure all patients are dealt with in a polite professional manner at all times and have a positive experience when attending the department.

You will be responsible for checking and updating patient details, booking appointments and helping with general enquiries. Customer service experience is essential in this role and a profession, polite and courteous attitude at all times.

Working as part of the Outpatient team you will be responsible for greeting patients at reception, checking and updating personal details while maintaining patient confidentiality. Using Careflow PAS and other relevant booking systems you will arrange follow-up appointments and update details accurately and efficiently.

You’ll have excellent communication skills and will deal appropriately with enquires both by telephone and in person
