To provide a specialist psychotherapy service to people with complex emotional needs within the personality disorder and complex trauma pathway (PACT). To provide individual and group psychotherapy as appropriate. This post will involve delivery of Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) and postholder will be expected to have completed AFC MBT Accreditation as practitioner or be willing to undertake/achieve accredited status.
To provide an assessment of clients referred to the psychotherapy service to ascertain and document their history. To facilitate client engagement in the treatment programme and support them in developing effective strategies to resolve or cope with their problems.
To provide support in times of crisis, assessing risk in conjunction with the team and in liaison with colleagues. To provide CPA, care management; risk assessment, care planning and the implementation of clinically effective interventions to clients referred to the personality disorder service.
