Job overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a track record of success in leading large-scale OD initiatives within complex organisations.
As a senior leader, the Associate Director of Employee Experience will work closely with the Executive Team, influencing at the highest level and ensuring that OD and engagement remain strategic priorities. The role will include overseeing key employee engagement initiatives, talent management programmes, leadership development, and ensuring that staff voice is embedded throughout our organisational strategy.

Main duties of the job
The Associate Director for Employee Experience will provide strategic leadership for key areas including Organisational Development, Learning and Development, Health and Wellbeing, Engagement, and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
This role is pivotal in designing, delivering, and evaluating initiatives that enhance the employee experience, contributing to improved attraction, retention, and engagement across the organisation.
As a senior leader within the People and OD Division, the Associate Director will ensure the function is appropriately resourced to deliver on strategic priorities. This includes fostering the development and growth of the People and OD team, as well as supporting the broader People team in achieving their goals.
In this role, you will act as an ambassador and role model for the Trust's core values of Excellence, Equity, and Kindness, embedding these principles throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

Education and qualifications
Essential criteria- Master’s degree in human resources, organisational development or other relevant qualification or equivalent working experience
- Professional membership of CIPD
- Evidence of ongoing professional development to maintain up to date subject matter expertise
Experience
Essential criteria- Significant experience of leading large-scale programmes and cultural change in complex environments, with proven positive impact.
- Significant experience of working in partnership with and influencing senior leaders, and their teams at every level, to constructively challenge the status quo.
- Extensive experience of working at senior management level to manage team(s) and to influence strategy, policy and project development and implementation.
Knowledge and skills
Essential criteria- In-depth professional knowledge in a number of disciplines e.g. organisational development, learning and development, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and wellbeing.
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written.
