About the Role:
Are you an organised, proactive, and dynamic professional ready to make a significant impact in a thriving educational environment? Edgar Wood Academy is seeking a highly skilled Executive Business Administrator to support our Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
This pivotal role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of academy operations, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of key strategic and operational activities. You will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support, managing complex schedules, coordinating events, and being a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as a professional liaison between the Headteacher, SLT, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Proactive diary and inbox management, scheduling appointments, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Being the first point of contact for staff absences and liaising with external agencies to provide cover arrangements.
- Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking action points.
- Coordinating key events such as parents' evenings and open days.
- Supporting recruitment activities, HR administration, and maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR).
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and health and safety protocols.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience as a PA, Executive Assistant, or Business Administrator in a busy environment.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Confidence in managing competing priorities with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential.
