SUPPORT WORKER – Bristol / Bath Area
We are recruiting for a brand-new position, for a Support Worker working with a child in the Saltford area of Bath.
The client is an eight-year-old bright and bubbly boy with cerebral palsy, who lives at home. He loves playtime so engaging and having fun is a big part of this role. He really enjoys books, playing games, getting outside and using his communication device.He is a fulltime wheelchair user. He needs support to access vocational and leisure activities in the community. Apart from this, support is provided in the client’s home.
We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and compassionate support worker who is passionate about their job, enjoys delivering exceptional care and would relish working with a young child. Work would be alongside his family and involve building positive relationships with not only our client but also his family including his older brother and their family dogs.
Previous experience and full driving licence are essential.An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in care and competent IT skills are desirable.
Applicants must be over the age of 21 years for insurance purposes.
3 x shifts per week working Monday to Wednesday including some weekends.
Weekdays between 4pm and 8pmWeekends 9am to 2pm.
Weekdays: £15.00 per hourWeekends: £16.00 per hour
Bank holidays: Time and a half

This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.
You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
You will be employed directly by the client, however, SSCM oversees all aspects of the client’s care package on his behalf.
