Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.

Duties
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to program CNC machines
  • Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Troubleshoot issues with CNC machines and make adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Complete stage inspection using various hand and CMM measurement equipment.
  • Prepare parts for final inspection; deburr, degrease, glass bead blast.
  • Complete final inspection using measuring equipment to confirm parts within tolerances and adhere to clients' specification.
Skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as Solid Works
  • Knowledge of mechanical principles and tooling
  • Experience with welding and the use of hand tools
  • Familiarity with logic controllers
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous
  • Must have experience of working with CNC Lathes and 3 axis and 4 axis Milling machines.
  • Must be experienced using CMM measuring equipment.
  • Must be able to manage full lifecycle of each job; interpret drawings, understand client specification, programme machine, set machine, operate, and final inspection.
  • Must be safety conscious.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £33,646.00-£35,042.00 per year
Expected hours: 24 per week
