Job description:
Based in Manchester and reporting to the IT Support Manager, this position is responsible for the 1^st and 2^nd level technical support to our different sites in the UK but can be engaged to provide virtual support to any of our global offices and employees.
What you will do:
- Provide 1^st and 2^nd level IT support to users in Manchester and other UK sites (Birmingham, London and Southampton);
- Offer remote support for other global offices (by phone and remote desktop connection);
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues;
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other network devices;
- Analyze and understand the users’ IT needs and respond to information requests, questions and problems relating to systems;
- Record incidents and requests and their resolution in ticket system;
- Create and manage AD and Exchange accounts;
- Manage phone sets and voice mailboxes;
- Order and configure mobile phones;
- Manage IT equipment pool;
- Keep inventory of all equipment, software and licenses;
- Assist in onboarding new employees;
- Create and update documentation for users and technician;
- Provide assistance to system administrators as needed;
- Provide after hours on-call support as needed;
- Identify and suggest possible improvements;
- Stay on top of new technologies to ensure high efficiency and contribute to the growth of the business.
Qualifications and skills:
- College degree in IT;
- 3 years experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Business (AD, Office 365, Teams);
- Experience in analyzing and solving technical problems;
- Hold a driver's license in order to travel to our various offices;
- Be available evenings and weekends (as needed);
- Ability to establish priorities and sense of organization;
- Strong ability to work with deadlines and manage pressure;
- Demonstrate rigor and attention to details;
- Strong relational and interpersonal skills;
- Act with diplomacy;
- Strong customer approach skills;
- Ability to adapt to change;
- Good team collaboration;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
