Therapy Assistant Practitioner (TAP)

The post holder will work with minimal supervision to undertake a variety of clinical tasks to support the delivery of therapy to patients. They are to have delegated responsibility for a specified clinical area and assess, prioritise and manage own caseload of patients, determine problems and treatment indicated and maintain comprehensive records.
Work with minimal direction, undertaking a variety of non-clinical tasks to support the Therapy service. To be delegated training responsibilities to other staff groups. The post holder will have a shared responsibility for departmental tasks to ensure the effective running of the Therapy Service.
Following training the post holder is to assist in the management/treatment of patients in the Trust under the instruction of the Therapists as appropriate. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service,all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUHs PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence.

We deliver services from 8:00 20:00 and the postholder must be flexible to work early, late and long day shifts. Post holder will be required to commit to 7 day working pattern. A roster is in place for weekend and bank holiday shifts.
