Grade C: £32,471 (National Framework) or £38,143 (London Framework – if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) – There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those working from home.For part time roles – please note this will be pro rata.
Contracted Hours: Full-time 37 hours per weekContract Type: Permanent
Location: Home, office-based or hybrid working. Occasional travel as required.

Policy and strategy lead on the development of the CQC strategy and in the development of high-quality policy that enables CQC to delivery its strategic ambitions and regulate in a way that encourages improvement in the quality of care, meets our equality and human rights obligations, and shapes CQC’s future role in the health and social care system.
We work closely and collaboratively with all parts of CQC, incorporating practical implications for delivery in our thinking. Success for us means that CQC is better able to do its work to assess quality, respond to risk and encourage improvement.
You'll work in a small project delivery team, assisting a variety of people in the business to arrive at the best solution, immediately seeing the impact of your work, and getting feedback directly from the team. We'll reward you with varied, interesting and exciting work - with the freedom to grow and experiment, offering opportunities to work on a variety of policy, strategy and commercial projects.
What you will bring…
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our Policy and Strategy function.
In this role, you will be driving the delivery of projects which sit within the function and will be responsible for the effective end to end project management to ensure successful outcomes are achieved. This role requires adaptability, efficiency and excellent communication and presentation skills.
The person in this role will:
- Ensure attainable plans are set and agreed.
- Deliver projects against agreed plans (in terms of time, cost, and quality), with necessary deviations being managed and communicated.
- Use effective internal and external communication channels leads to productive engagement and relationship building.
- Demonstrate facilitation and leadership skills by working across teams to improve products and services from the team.
- Effectively manage of project risks leads to successful project delivery.
