Your Role

As part of an award-winning planning team you would play a vital role in enabling and accelerating the pace of sustainable development within the Borough. With our track record of success, and with momentum firmly established in the Borough it is an exciting time to join a dynamic team dealing with a wide range of interesting planning applications, pre-application enquiries and appeals.

About You

We are looking for a planner who has substantial experience working in the field of Development Management. This could include experience working in a combination of public and private sector roles. You will be a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)(or eligibility) and have demonstrable experience dealing with a wide range of planning applications, particularly proposals for urban regeneration, large scale applications, complex and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) developments.

You will be a strategic thinker with an eye for detail, a strong communicator willing and able to represent the department at relevant Committee, hearings and Public Inquiries.
