History Teacher – High Peak
A secondary school in the High Peak area is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their humanities department. This is a great opportunity for an educator who is passionate about bringing the past to life and fostering students’ critical thinking skills.
Role Overview:
As a History Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students understand the significance of historical events and how they shape the present and future. You will engage students through storytelling, debates, and project-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured history lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teach a variety of topics, from medieval history to modern world affairs.
- Help students develop strong research and analytical skills.
- Prepare students for their GCSE exams, providing tailored support where necessary.
- Promote historical discussions, critical thinking, and independent learning.
- Organise field trips and history-related extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent qualification in History or a related subject.
- A deep passion for history and the ability to make it relevant and exciting.
- Experience teaching the National Curriculum and preparing students for exams.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum.
