What skills and experience we're looking for
Because of significant projected increase in student numbers (167 in 2024-25 to 220 in 2025-26), Leeds Mathematics School is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role Assistant Principal. In this role, you will- As part of the Senior Leadership Team, ensure that Leeds Mathematics School achieves its purpose.
- Lead, manage, develop and quality assure one or more aspects of LMaS’ commitment to ensuring that every student at LMaS, in particular students with SEND and students who are Widening Participation Eligible,
o has an exceptional experience every day;
o achieves highly and leaves LMaS with powerful outcomes, personal strengths, and many and meaningful choices available to them: in their learning, in their career, in their life.- Teach consistently excellent lessons.
- Passionate commitment to the power of education to ‘change the deal’ for disadvantaged students.
- A strong honours degree in the subject(s) you would like to teach, or in a subject containing a considerable amount of the subject(s) you would like to teach.
- Current experience of ensuring that every student has an exceptional experience every day.
