Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
- Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons
- Help students with personal care needs if required
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals
- Knowledge of special educational needs
Education:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Experience:
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid Certification
- Training in safeguarding and child protection
Working Conditions:
- Working hours typically follow the school timetable
- May require some physical activity such as assisting students with mobility
- Working in a classroom environment with potential exposure to noise
