We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to join our Wheelchair Service Administration team. This is a varied and interesting role and you will be working in our new, bespoke Wheelchair Centre.
Candidates should be educated to GCSE's grades A-C, have excellent keyboard and word processing skills, excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work under pressure.
As we support a large geographical area we are a very busy team but with this comes a lot of job satisfaction.
Please note we reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to the closing date once the required number of suitable applications have been received.- To provide comprehensive, administrative, IT and clerical support for all staff within the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Wheelchair Service.
- To work flexibly within a team, providing support to colleagues and the multidisciplinary team and provide cover for other administrative and clerical staff when required, on a shared basis.
- To present a user-friendly and accessible service for the public.
- To deal with reception & telephone enquiries effectively and efficiently.

- Dealing with incoming telephone calls
- Managing and processing email queries
- Recording referrals, re-referrals and prescriptions on our electronic systems
- Arranging delivery and handover of wheelchairs
- Recording issued equipment on our electronic systems
- Scanning documents
- Photocopying
- Arranging appointments and reception duties when required
- Supporting data collection
- Supporting the wider service team and our patients
