About the Role As a Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing high-value projects by leading the end-to-end bid process. Collaborating with subject matter experts across estimating, commercial, and legal teams, you will produce compelling, high-quality submissions that address client needs and enhance tender success rates.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end bid management, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
  • Lead and mentor a Junior Bid Manager, fostering career development.
  • Work closely with bid writers to produce exceptional written proposals.
  • Manage project planning, deadlines, and production workflows.
  • Attend client bid sessions and workshops, as required.
  • Develop storyboarding and answer planning strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all bid requirements while maximising quality and impact.
  • Write and review bids, ensuring clarity, consistency, and persuasiveness.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Bid Manager within Utilities, Civil Engineering, or Construction.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • APMP Foundation or Practitioner Level (desirable).
