We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver at our Rotherham, South Yorkshire site, where you will be required to work a 3 week rotating shift pattern of Days / Days / Afternoons (Mon-Fri) after an initial 3 month training programme on DaysGoods-In (Days 6am to 2pm)
- Unloading / cutting of raw material (rods) and movement and stacking of raw material into the Rod Warehouse under direction of the Production Planning Controller.
- Responsible for weekly checks and routine maintenance on Fork-Lift Trucks.
- Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines.
- Responsible for the housekeeping around the outside of the Factory
- Picking/wrapping of all outgoing rod orders in accordance with customer specification.
- Loading and unloading of deliveries by hand or with a Fork-Lift truck.
- Ensure all outgoing orders are quality checked, badged/marked in accordance with customer requirements/regulations.
- Ensure all orders are accurately picked / despatched efficiently to meet strict lead times.
- Despatching and checking all outgoing deliveries, inputting all required computerised D365 ERP system data.
- Reporting all discrepancies to incoming deliveries, e.g., goods missing/damaged.
- Assist the Logistics Manager with all stock control activities within the warehouse.
- Weighing & scanning despatched product into the ERP D365 system.
- Unloading of delivered production consumables and engineering items.
- Responsible for the housekeeping around the outside of the Factory
- Responsible for the coating / de-coating / de-greasing of rod / wire picked for production orders.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the quantity and quality meet efficiency rates and customer requirements.
- Daily testing and maintenance of the coating baths.
- Use of forklift and overhead cranes to load/unload rod into the Wiredrawing areas, complying with Health & Safety regulations.
- Responsible for the housekeeping around the outside of the Factory, e.g., management of scrap and waste skips, outside storage areas.
- Report / communicate machinery issues to the maintenance department and supervision.
- Complete all necessary data entry, reporting, and product identification requirements.
- Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines, including the completion of daily safety inspections.
Position Requirements:
- Experience of working within a factory environment ideally within the steel industry.
- Experienced FLT Driver/Bendi-Truck with current FLT License.
- Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
