Fixed term until 31 March 2026 to cover additional project and employee relations duties
£42,109.00 - £52,636.00 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday based in either Edinburgh or Falkirk with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, subject to business needs
Alternative working patterns and/or working arrangements will be considered.

The Human Resources Advisor (HR Advisor) is responsible for the provision of a professional, timely and accurate range of HR services and advisory support to employees, workers and managers in line with policy, procedure and budgets. The HR Advisor provides appropriate services which not only meet legislation, corporate governance and best practice standards but also the needs of the business and provide value for money.
About You
You will have a Professional or post graduate qualification in a relevant subject (or be working towards one), be Associate Level CIPD Qualified (or working towards it) and have experience of delivering HR services across a variety of disciplines, including formal employee relations (sickness absence management, investigations, conduct, performance and capability) issues, organisational change, best practice recruitment and selection, HR processes including the full employee “life-cycle” in addition to employment law and its application to equalities, recruitment, contracts of employment and employee relations.
The successful candidate will have an excellent standard of written communication combined with IT skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), web enabled IT tools and experience of using an HR Information System to input, report and analyse data.
You will have demonstrable experience of successfully managing a range of competing priorities and deadlines, be a strong team player with proven resilience, problem solving, written and verbal communication and influencing skills and creativity/innovation combined with high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to forward plan, minimising and resolving risks and issues.
Knowledge of GDPR regulation as it affects employment, a current full driving licence and access to a car (or ability to travel across multiple sites and locations) plus a high degree of integrity and discretion are also essential.
