Fire Compliance Manager
£42,000 - £47,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A)

We're looking for a fire compliance manager to join our property team. As owners of one of the UK's largest commercial property portfolios, we've got a big job on our hands transforming the Co-op estate to make it fit for the future. Our commercial property team have an important role to play in driving our growth by making sure we get great value from the money we invest into our stores, funeral homes, and depots.
In this role, you'll be responsible for making sure all areas of our diverse property portfolio are compliant, making sure fire risks are effectively identified and managed. This will be achieved by leading and promoting a compliance culture.It's an important job, but one that comes with a big opportunity to have a positive impact to the way we do business for our customers, colleagues, and members. What you'll do- lead the fire risk management compliance category to make sure our properties are fully compliant, taking responsibility for the end to end process for fire risk management across our estate
- manage and maintain our CAFM and compliance management systems, keeping dashboards and trackers updated
- provide technical and delivery management support across multiple delivery workstreams such as facilities management, construction, and capital delivery
- support internal technical investigations and assessments when incidents arise
- maintain and validate internal fire related compliance policies and procedures
- provide technical support and expertise at compliance working group meetings, as well as attending technical review meetings
- partner closely with our contractors, Co-op contract managers, internal supply chain teams, and internal risk teams in a collaborative way
- deliver the requirements of Co-op's Compliance Management Procedures and Third Party Supplier Management standard
- previous experience of managing fire compliance or fire safety and/ or a fire related qualification which could be from; Institute of Fire Engineers IFE- level 3 qualification, or NEBOSH Fire Certificate/ Fire Protection Association- level 3 or equivalent
- strong Microsoft Excel skills and data interpretation with the ability to write reports
- experience of presenting data and insight to both technical and non-technical audiences in a compelling way
- the ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment whilst delivering high quality work
- excellent relationship building skills with the confidence to challenge and drive improvement
