Are you a salaried GP looking for a new challenge? Would you like to be part of the new Urgent Care Team within the Royal United Hospital?

We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Practitioner to deliver acute primary care services as part of the Royal United Hospital Integrated Urgent Care Team. This is a part-time, out of hours role to support evening and weekend demands.

The highly driven and competent post holder will be an experienced clinician, able to lead a multi-professional team and thrive in the urgent and emergency care environment. This post will support the development of specialist interests in Urgent Care and injuries and allows the post holder a unique opportunity for innovative portfolio roles, and to really make a difference for one of the country’s most in need populations.

The post holder will have protected CPD time. The post holder must be able to act as a high quality experienced asset within the MDT, practicing high quality evidence-based medicine and supporting other clinicians across the team. You will be employed on a Specialist Doctor contract in this role.

The Emergency Department covers a catchment area of approximately 500,000 people and last year had approximately 72,000 attendances. We are continuously striving to provide high quality patient care and believe in the fact that all patients should receive the right care by the right person with the right skills the first time.
