In-House Commercial Property Solicitor
Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Greater London, Kent (predominately office based with some scope for home working)
Salary Guide: £65,000 - £90,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
As In-House Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing all legal aspects of the business, with a strong focus on Commercial Property, landlord & tenant including commercial leases and broader property-related legal matters. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring compliance and managing risk while providing strategic legal advice for the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Commercial Property: landlord & tenant including commercial leases and licenses, rent reviews, lease renewals, dilapidation's, acquisitions, and sales.
Additional:
- Property, Litigation & Compliance: Residential ASTs, debtor legal management, section 8 & 21, managing dilapidation claims, service charge disputes, planning permissions, and compliance with new property legislation.
- Finance & Contracts: Assisting with bank and insurance negotiations and documentation.
- Employment & HR Support: Providing legal advice on employment matters as required.
Candidate specification:
- UK qualified solicitor ideally between three and ten years PQE.
- Strong commercial property background, with experience handling landlord & tenant including commercial leases.
- Ideally some exposure of residential property, housing/property litigation and employment law (advantageous).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice.
- Salary: £65,000 - £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus benefits .
- A key strategic role in a leading property management group, working closely with senior leadership.
- UK Qualified Solicitors with either an In-House or Private Practice background will be considered.
- Expertise within a broad range of Commercial Property, landlord & tenant matters.
- You will be commutable distance to the Greater London/Kent region.
