Rent & Income Officer

Location: Axbridge, Somerset

The Company:

A Somerset based Social Housing partnership who build and provide new homes, and invest in existing properties, offering a commitment to high standards of service to tenants, and investing in people to give their best service.

The role:

• Rent collection and arrears recovery processes in a social housing environment.
• Based out of their Somerset Office.
• The option to work from home and from the office under companies’ working policy, (subject to business need)

The Candidate will need:

• Relevant experience of managing rent and arrears collection
• Knowledge of rent arrears procedures and best practice within a social housing setting
• Knowledge of pre-court protocol and housing legislation
• Experience of undertaking legal action to recover rent arrears
• The ability to prioritise and be flexible in a dynamic and agile environment
• Experience of dealing with complex situations and vulnerable people
• Clear and effective communication skills
• A commitment to meaningful engagement with tenants
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Housing Management systems
• A relevant professional qualification or willingness to undertake further training as required for the role

• A full driving licence and own vehicle

Summary:

Monday – Friday Position

It would be mainly Hybrid but there would be the need to attend Court in Somerset.
