Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Working independently as an autonomous practitioner as a member of the Early Years Communication and Language Development Service (EYCLDS) alongside the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team, delivering a service to children with a wide range of communication difficulties.
Assessing, differentially diagnosing and treating a specified caseload of children with speech, language and communication impairments some of whom will be from a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds. This may include working with interpreters to assess all languages which children are exposed to.

Assessments will take place in Family Hub settings as well as homes and early education settings, and it is therefore essential that you are able to travel around the borough. Liaising with, and training other health, education and social service professionals; and to work in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies to ensure the delivery of a high quality service.
