Clinical Procurement Specialist | Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust
Are you an experienced Clinical Procurement Specialist looking to join an ambitious team in one of the most complex and large NHS Trusts in the UK. As a senior member in a newly established position, you will play a key role in developing and implementing the new Procurement and Supply Chain operating model and strategy across Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation and the ‘Smart Together’ Shared Service.

We seek a forward-thinking, innovative Clinical Procurement Specialist to join our large, complex, and demanding clinical procurement offer and program, developing our commercial approach through Category Management and Strategic Sourcing. Working with the senior leadership team, you will foster a positive, high-performing culture by building trust and accountability with all team members.
- Report to the Director of Procurement and be part of the leadership team.
- Provide specialist, expert clinical advice and support to enable clinical teams and front-line staff to deliver the highest possible quality patient care.
- Develop and manage the vital link between clinical stakeholders and procurement.
- Engage with multi-functional teams at all levels across Guy’s and St Thomas’ and the Shared Service.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including clinicians, service managers, suppliers, professional associations, partner organisations, and system colleagues.
- Lead clinical procurement programs and support implementing category and sourcing strategies across a complex procurement project portfolio.
The post holder will be positive, forward thinking and resilient. You will strive for high standards in delivering clinical procurement that supports the delivery of patient care, with a focus on resilience and sustainability. As the Clinical Procurement Specialist, you will report to the Director of Procurement andmanage the interface between the clinical and commercial functions, leading change with innovative procurement practice and contract compliance to drive out costs and improve patient care.
