About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Kempston. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience.As part of a collaborative department, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality English lessons, support student progress, and foster a love of literature and language.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for experienced candidates.
- Lesson Planning: Create innovative, thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to explore and engage with literature and language.
- Assessment: Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development and exam readiness.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate within the department to shape the English curriculum, bringing fresh ideas and sharing best practices.
- School Community: Contribute to the wider school community by participating in school events and supporting initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in English or a related subject. Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 is essential, and experience at KS5 would be advantageous. You should be passionate about literature, committed to supporting student achievement, and dedicated to professional development.
