As our Head Chef, you will be at the heart of our culinary operations, leading a team of skilled kitchen staff to create delicious, nutritious, and diet-appropriate meals for our residents. You will have the unique opportunity to design menus that cater to a variety of dietary needs, ensuring that every meal not only meets nutritional standards but also brings joy and satisfaction to those we serve.
This is a full time role, contracted to 40 hours per week, working flexibly 5 out of 7 days with a rate of pay of £15.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement seasonal menus that cater to the diverse dietary requirements of our residents.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor meals that support the specific health needs of residents with neuro-disabilities.
- Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage budgets effectively.Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in a healthcare or care home setting.
- Extensive knowledge of dietary requirements and nutrition
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent or Time Served experience
