Join our team as a Senior Customer Service Specialist - Airfreight!

We are seeking a Senior Customer Service Specialist to join our Airfreight Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of our import teams, acting as the first point of contact for escalation and taking on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Team Leader.

Location: Heathrow, UK

Working Days / Hours: Monday to Friday / 9:00 to 17:30

What will you be doing?
  • Team Oversight: Managing daily operations of the import team and acting as the first point of escalation for issues.
  • Shipment Coordination: Arranging shipments with UK customers and overseas offices to ensure smooth logistics.
  • Documentation: Preparing and reviewing import documentation, ensuring compliance with UK HMRC regulations.
  • Communication: Monitoring and responding to email inboxes promptly to address customer and internal queries.
  • Team Leader Support: Assisting the Team Leader with staff management, workload allocation, and team development.
  • Customer Service: Investigating and resolving customer queries and complaints efficiently.
  • Invoicing & Rate Management: Ensuring accurate invoicing and collaborating with the Team Leader on rate management.
About you
  • Experience in Airfreight: You have a proven track record in airfreight logistics, with a deep understanding of import operations and industry regulations.
  • Customer Service Expertise: You excel in delivering exceptional customer service, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Your meticulous nature ensures accuracy in documentation, invoicing, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: You are a team player who can effectively support and collaborate with team leaders and colleagues, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to handle challenges and make informed decisions in a fast-paced setting.
