We have an exciting new secondment opportunity for a Disability and Wellbeing Officer to join our ambitious and friendly team up until September 2025.
Main duties of the job
The role of Disability & Wellbeing Officer has been created to empower all our colleagues to deliver to their maximum potential. As lead contact for arranging workplace adjustments (also known as reasonable adjustments), you will be the council’s disability confident expert.Working closely with employees, their managers, external experts the person in this role will support employee wellbeing and coordinate workplace adjustments quickly.
You’ll need to have experience of giving advice and guidance to people about disability, long term health conditions and workplace adjustments. To keep up with the work you will need to be planned and organised, while working as collaboratively as possible to help facilitate the best outcomes for our colleagues.
Although this is a full time role of 35 hours per week we would be happy to consider applications from those wishing to work as part of a job share. We also welcome flexible working requests such as compressed working hours. A mix of office and home working will also apply.
