People Assistant (Contract)

Green Street seeks to recruit a People Assistant as a key member of its People & Culture team supporting our London office, based in beautiful offices in the heart of Mayfair.

Job Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Administration
  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding
  • Screen CVs and applications, schedule interviews, and liaise with candidates
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment records
  • Collaborate with the Talent Director, HRBPs and hiring managers to ensure local roles are progressed in a timely manner using the recruitment software
HR & Office Support
  • Organise overseas travel for senior leaders; booking flights, hotels, cars etc.
  • Take responsibility for planning and organising an annual schedule of local office events and activities to encourage collaboration around the London office
  • In conjunction with Office Manager, responsible for ensuring the office is well-stocked with refreshments for the staff, including for events. Ordering weekly supplies and responsible for co-ordinating deliveries etc.
  • Responsible for scheduling monthly London office Stand-Ups; co-ordinating guest speakers, booking appropriate refreshments etc.
  • Support local staff with HR-related questions and escalate issues to the VP, People & Culture
  • In conjunction with Office Manager, ensure company health and safety policies and procedures are followed and implemented
  • Monitor Office Admin inbox for incoming queries from staff
  • Assist the Office Manager with operational duties to ensure the smooth running of the London office
  • Provide general administrative support to the People team
  • Any other relevant duties as requested by the VP, People & Culture

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in office administration a must; experience working in recruitment or HR a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional approach
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems
  • Previous experience with using HR software useful but not essential
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the company and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters
  • Must be proactive, motivated to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Experience in a professional services environment such as financial services is ideal
  • Experience in corporate hospitality a plus
  • Must be a team player
