We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join our team in Kings Lynn and make a lasting impact on our students' lives.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher at our SEMH school in Kings Lynn you will:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of students in Kings Lynn.
• Use creative strategies to engage learners who may have experienced barriers to education.
• Implement effective behaviour management techniques, fostering a calm and safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including SEN specialists and pastoral staff, to support each child holistically.
• Provide emotional and social support to help students develop resilience, self-esteem, and positive behaviours.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to pupils, parents, and other stakeholders.

• Plan and deliver the Maths curriculum in line with national standards, adapting lessons to suit students' individual education plans (IEPs) in Kings Lynn.
• Employ trauma-informed teaching practices and behaviour strategies, including de-escalation and restorative approaches.
• Support students in developing functional numeracy skills that will equip them for life beyond school in Kings Lynn.
• Promote inclusion, encouraging students with varying abilities and emotional needs to participate fully in lessons.
• Work closely with support staff and therapists to address both academic and emotional needs of students in Kings Lynn.

• Qualified Maths Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with SEMH, SEN, or in alternative provision is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management skills, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to helping students achieve their potential despite barriers.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and safeguarding in an educational setting in Kings Lynn.
• Ability to differentiate teaching for a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
