Stock Manager, Bicester Village

This Strategic Bicester Village Outlet store is an integral part of the brand. The store aims to create the ultimate luxury lifestyle experience for men.

As a Stock controller you are ultimately responsible for the security of the stock through accurately receiving deliveries in, completing the correct paperwork and caring for the overall condition of the stock.

This key role will support the Team in driving sales by inputting stock details into the system and making sure our information is always up to date. This will have a direct impact on the store performance as the Team will know exactly which products to restock, keeping our offering fresh and varied.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The role of the Stock Controller is to ensure that all of our products are in the right place at the right time, whether that’s on the shop floor, in the stock room or warehouse. Also to work with Store Management in achieving minimal stock loss.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of all the Bicester Village store stock areas including, Menswear, Hard Products, Leather.

The Security of the product is imperative all procedures relating to the receiving and storing of high value products should be upheld at all times.

STOCK CONTROL
  • To ensure accurate and timely completion of stock replenishment, stock availability, stock receipts and despatch (handling goods and dealing with associated administration and systems/Procedures.)
  • To be responsible for stock rotation, stock room management, and stock-take procedures
  • Responsible for the orderliness of the stock rooms and ensure that it is well organised, tidy, and stocks are easy to locate
  • To ensure that stock is correctly labelled, tagged and available when appropriate. The stock should be in the best possible condition for sale at all times. If any product is not on the shop floor, it should be stored, so as to avoid damage.
  • Work with the Store Management to ensure that all set operations standards are met.
  • Analyse stock-take results and work with Line Manager to develop ideas to minimise stock lose or improve stock organisation
  • Responsible for planning and actioning of cycle counts and biannual stock takes working with the relevant department and logistical managers.
  • To control negative stock levels daily (NUS).
  • Ensure that all procedures are followed regarding stock movement in to, out of, and throughout the store.
  • Ensure the security of the showroom stock through the efficient logging of received and transferred items.
INVENTORY SYSTEMS
  • Be fully conversant with the DARE system and SAP, understand its functions and capabilities with regards to stock availability and allocation.
PACKAGING / POS
  • To ensure the store have adequate packaging and POS at all times.
SALE PERIODS
  • To work with the store management team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained during the sale periods.
NEW SEASON
  • To liase with the store management team and Retail Operations Manager during the end of season store turnaround
  • Will be the key contact between the store management team and warehouse staff, to ensure correct stock levels are received.
QC STOCK
  • To process all QC stock and stock returns through the system on a regular basis.
  • To track these issues using a spreadsheet and forward regularly to Store Manager and Operations team.
TRAINING
  • To proactively ensure that all store team members are fully trained and thoroughly understand and adhere to stockroom procedures
ADMINISTRATION
  • Aware of and able to complete accurately and efficiently all the stores paperwork and computer files. Ensure all are filed logically.
  • Ensure all administrative aspects of the job are carried out and completed within the required timelines, such as DO’s, PO’s, Cycle Counts. Ensure that existing forms are used and completed correctly.
COMMUNICATION
  • Uses all forms of communication available, Is continually aware of all company communications
  • To communicate in an appropriate way, to all levels.
HEALTH & SAFETY
  • Aware of all company and Government rules and legislation ensure they are implemented
SECURITY
  • Aware and adhere to Company and Store Security procedures
  • Ensure self and all other staff follow these at all times
  • Aware of how to use tagging & other security systems in store
  • Ensure all stock is received in designated area such as stock room or safe and is protected at all times

You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time.

EXPERIENCE
  • Well rounded background in stockroom management (Essential)
  • Commercial awareness of luxury market (Essential)
  • Responsible and pro-active with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team (Essential)
  • Experience in Menswear and Leather Goods & Accessories luxury (Essential)
  • Administration and logistical skills. A rounded knowledge in administrative systems and Logistical understanding. (Essential)
  • Experience of working in a corporate environment (Preferred)
