Medical Receptionist and Care Navigator
Provide general assistance and support to the Practice clinical and non-clinical team with a positive attitude. Ability to use own initiative and ability to prioritise workload. Ability to work in a pressurised environment on a daily basis and be reliable and punctual.
Ability to work as a team player and hold a common sense approach with a non-judgemental attitude. Good keyboard skills and an understanding of the principles of confidentiality in and out of the workplace. An understanding of the importance of equal opportunities and diversity issues.
A motivation and commitment to working in the NHS and being involved in patient care. To be able to care navigate patients to the most appropriate service to fulfil their needs. In the performance of the duties outlined in the job description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff and other healthcare workers.
They may also have access to information relating to the Practice as a business organisation. All such information from any source is be regarded as strictly confidential by the successful candidate. Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.
The successful candidate will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health and Safety policy. The successful candidate will participate in any training programme implemented by the Practice as part of their employment and the Practice will support the candidates development whilst working within their defined role.
