About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a reputable secondary school in Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal access to education and opportunities to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with diverse special educational needs, including learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and sensory impairments.
- Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to meet individual student requirements.
- Support classroom teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies and managing classroom behaviour.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.
- Strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of young people.
