Pharmacy Support Worker - Stores

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic well motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our friendly, progressive pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Support Worker working within our Stores and Distribution areas to grow and drive our Medicines Optimisation Services.This would be an ideal opportunity for anyone who would like to start a career in Pharmacy or would like to develop their skills and knowledge further within Pharmacy.
Main duties of the job
Duties of this role include:
- working within the Pharmacy stores receiving, unpacking and checking deliveries against paperwork.
- Returning incorrect goods to pharmacy suppliers
- Storing all drugs correctly and in line with stock rotation
- Issuing and distributing drugs to the dispensary, wards and departments
- Maintaining correct stock levels in the department and on the wards
- Take part in rotational stock and expiry date checks
- Take part in ward stock topping up service
- Process drugs returned from wards
- Undertake, under direction, dispensing duties
- To contribute to the weekend, late night and bank holiday rota.

Qualifications
Desirable criteria- NVQ level 2 in Pharmaceutical services or equilivant
- GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of working with the public
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Experience of working in the NHS
- Experience of working in a community or hospital pharmacy
