Design Technology Teacher
This role begins September 2025.
Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across [KS3/KS4/KS5].
- Teach a range of specialisms, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, or Engineering.
- Develop students' skills in design thinking, problem-solving, and practical application.
- Support students with coursework and exam preparation.
- Ensure a safe and well-maintained workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Inspire students through creative projects and industry links.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as STEM clubs, design competitions, or practical workshops.
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Design Technology at [Secondary/Post-16] level.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software, 3D printing, woodworking, and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent practical and classroom management skills as a Design Technology Teacher.
- Passion for innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning.
- A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
