Willow Farm Maintenance Worker

Independent travel is essential as in a slightly remote location.

• Ensure buildings, equipment, water systems, animal housing and fencing are properly maintained on a day-to-day basis.
• Report repairs to the appropriate manager and undertake maintenance and general grounds work as required.
• Assist with the general welfare and safety of the animals in compliance with current relevant legislation and best practice recommendations.
• Assist with the day-to-day work at the farm, ensuring that daily routines and procedures are carried out in accordance with the Willow Farm management plan.
• Planting and harvesting crops.
• Liaise with management about cover arrangements and to assist with school sessions.
• Liaise with the appropriate manager regarding the welfare of the animals.
• Complete relevant reports as appropriate in relation to accidents, damage, theft, complaints etc.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Be responsible for equipment on site, ensuring they are stored safely at the end of the day and when not in use.
• Undertake all duties with due regard to the provisions of Health and Safety regulations, the Operational document and Risk Assessments.

• To ensure awareness of School policy and procedures re Children Protection and Safeguarding
• To be aware of the signs and symptoms of abuse by participating in regular training
• To report all causes for concern to the Safeguarding lead
• To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children RP works with
• To liaise with Safeguarding Lead to ensure that all staff are up to date on safeguarding training
• To report daily to the Safeguarding Lead/DSL and immediately in the case of serious issues
• To keep up to date on live safeguarding concerns

• To record and justify all expenditure of petty cash and credit card, keeping receipts for all expenditure
• To record your use of company vehicles accurately and ensure that you are always driving safely
• To ensure that all equipment is used safely and returned to its proper location, reporting and logging any damage
