We are an independent local charity based in Bosham, Chichester offering a wide range of services to support our patients, and their loved ones, who are living with a life limiting or terminal illness.
The work we do makes a real difference to the lives of local people and we support over 330 patients at any one time between our In Patient Unit and Community teams.

Being a Sales Assistant for St Wilfrid's

We are looking for someone who is passionate, flexible and hard working to join our large, dedicated Selsey team for 15 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service and sales skills, and enjoy meeting our supporters. You will provide support to the Shop Manager in every aspect of the day-to-day running of the shop, including:

  • Welcoming customers and supporters to our shop and receiving donations as appropriate
  • Researching, pricing and merchandising our donations
  • Optimising income generation and minimising waste by ensuring our sales floor remains fully stocked
  • Maintaining the busy sales floor to an excellent standard, ensuring a clean, safe and tidy environment and assisting with floor moves and visual merchandising as required.
  • Ensuring that all till operations, EPOS and cash handling procedures and transactions are followed accurately and efficiently, including daily security records and Gift Aid registration

Being a Sales Assistant at St Wilfrid's will include:

  • Weekend and Bank Holiday working (2 in every 3 Saturdays required) with the opportunity for overtime to help cover holidays
  • Key holding and Shop Opening/Closing responsibilities
  • Manual Handling and cleaning duties
  • Cash handling responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience
  • Customer service experience (Essential)
  • Charity retail experience (Desirable)
  • Visual merchandising experience (Desirable)
  • Volunteering experience (Desirable)
  • Right to Work in the UK (Essential)
