People Advisor

The successful candidate will play an integral role in driving engagement across the business and building long standing relationships with your key stakeholders.
What does the role of People Advisor look like day to day?- Provide expert HR guidance and support to managers and colleagues across a wide range of topics, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and best practice
- Be the main point of contact for managers, providing support on everything from probationary reviews, performance management, absence management and so on.
- Support managers navigate through employee cases, offering practical and people-centred solutions
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by working with Managers across the business to ensure equal opportunities, colleague development and engagement is at the heart of what we do
- Ensuring our policies and procedures are fit for purpose, and in line with our values and objectives
- Leading on projects - we're completely guided by you and your passions, we are looking for people to inspire the organisation, this could include leading or supporting on:

- Supporting Senior People Partners on People Projects, such as TUPE, Organisational Change and new business
- Support and manage our benefit offering, working closely with the Senior People Partner and our benefits administrator to ensure the schemes are competitive and aligned with our colleagues needs. You will also ensure that all benefits are processed accurately and efficiently, delivering a seamless experience to our colleagues.
- Analysing HR data to provide a range of solutions on HR or operational projects
- Staying up to date on employment law and regulations and ensuring that any changes are implemented effectively
The role is primarily remote, however you will be asked to attend our Cardiff or Newport office when required
Requirements
What are we looking for?- CIPD Qualitied (Desirable)
- A team player with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
- Experience working as a HR Advisor or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and coaching abilities
- A genuine passion about colleague experience and engagement
- A People Person - you will be working with all our colleagues, from our fantastic Customer Service Executives through to our Exco Board
- Resilient and able to adapt and embrace change
- Great skills in Microsoft applications like Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- A strong understanding of employment law
- An understanding of Payroll processing is desirable, so that you can support the People Officer when required
The successful candidate will ideally have Human Resources experience of the following areas:
- Employee relations issues and cases
- Report writing and Management Information
- HR Project or Initiatives implementation
- Policy and process generation and continuous improvement
- Understanding and application of changes in employment law
- Demonstrable experience of using dedicated HR systems to extract management information
- Demonstrable experience of advising managers effectively
- A competitive salary of up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
