CNC Miller Programmer

Hours: Days based role
Pay Rate: From £32,000 (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Programmer for our client in Cambridge. They specialise in high-quality, precision-engineered components for a wide range of industries including automotive, fibre optic, hi-tech, medical, marine, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and many more.

- Program/Set/Operate CNC milling machines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to understand specifications and requirements.
- Set up tooling and fixtures, including the installation of cutting tools as per the job specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products using measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Understanding of Heidenhain and Siemans Controls
- Set and operate a variety of CNC machining centres
- Strong understanding of basic mathematics for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of tooling requirements for various machining processes.
- Toolmaking knowledge advantageous
- Keen eye for detail
- Must have commitment to maintaining precision in all tasks
