Office Manager

£30,000- £33,000 Knaresborough, office based, on site parking, 37.5 hours per week, flexible working hours,25 days holiday plus bank holidays, optional work health care, discretionary annual bonus

We are currently recruiting a confident and organised Office Manager to join this well established company based in Knaresborough. You will manage and oversee the daily operations of 3 small businesses within the group. This is an interesting and varied role that will enable you to utilise a wide range of skills and be the go to person in the organisation.

The main purpose of this role is to maintain a well organised office environment. You will manage the financial operations, HR on boarding, facility management, health and safety and daily operational processes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • HR - Managing all on boarding of new staff, issuing contracts, managing holidays etc.
  • Finance - Processing invoices, purchase orders, debt recovery, processing wages
  • Legal/Compliance - update all annual insurances and documents, conduct monthly and annual audits
  • Facility Management- weekly fire tests, IT support, Health & Safety, arranging annual services and insurances
  • Daily Operations - Creating new job orders, collating all documentation, scanning, filing and archiving and maintaining up to date project sheets
  • General - Ordering stationery and office supplies
  • Client Management - arranging site visits, conducting client feedback forms

Requirements for this Office Manager:

  • Previous experience in a senior administration role
  • Previous people management skills
  • A confident yet professional manner
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good IT and numerical skills
  • A Multi-tasker able to manage own workload plus others
  • Previous experience using Xero or similar accounts packages

This Office Manager role would suit someone who has worked as a company secretary, accounts manager, accounts assistant, PA, EA, or has worked in a small business and been involved in all aspects of the business.
