Additionally, your knowledge of FSA regulations will be instrumental in upholding food safety standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhering to established recipes and standards.
• Utilize your skills to produce sandwiches, toasties and also undertake baking as needed.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new sandwich recipes and menu items that showcase seasonal ingredients and innovative flavour combinations.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper storage and handling of ingredients, equipment sanitation, and adherence to food safety protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure adequate stock of ingredients for sandwich preparation.
• Stay updated on FSA regulations and implement proper food safety practices to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of our customers and staff.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper sandwich-making techniques, food safety procedures, and recipe execution.
• Assist with other kitchen duties and responsibilities as needed to support the overall operation of the deli.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in the culinary world, with a focus on sandwich making, baking, and menu creation.
• Proficiency in making sandwiches, toasties and also baking.
• Ability to create and execute innovative sandwich recipes with attention to flavour, texture, and presentation.
• Knowledge of FSA regulations and food safety best practices, with a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
