SEN Learning Support Assistant Required

Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location:Newton Abbot
Salary: £90 - £95 per day
Contract: Full-time, temporary to permanent

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of SEN requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Promoting inclusion and ensuring all students have equal access to educational opportunities.
  • Collaborating effectively with teaching personnel and external professionals involved in SEN support.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
  • A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of SEN students.
