If you are a Administration Assistant, looking for a truly unique opportunity to craft out a successful future, then this is the perfect opportunity. You will be working on a variety of legacy aerospace projects of a multidisciplinary nature & activities covering Design, Production & Maintenance of Aircraft, Aero-Engines & Systems, from the golden age of flight and shortly beyond the end of the Second World War.

On offer is full training on all our internal systems alongside the chance to technically progress within the business and work on highly interesting historical aero-engineering projects.
The company is based on the outskirts of Dursley, Gloucestershire, perfect for someone looking to work at a local site with great transport links and away from the hustle of nearby cities.

This role would suit a motivated, experienced Technical Documentation Controller with a real passion for engineering. Relevant interests alongside could include any form of transportation, propulsion systems, vehicle maintenance, historical engineering etc.

Job Summary: This is an initial 6 months contract, there is a possibility of a full time role at the end of the 6 months

To manage, control, and maintain the organization's documents, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with internal and external regulations. The Document Controller is responsible for overseeing the document lifecycle, from creation to archival, ensuring that all documents are up to date, version-controlled, and properly distributed.

Responsibilities
Document Management:
  • To take historical drawings and instructions, tidy them up in Photoshop and turn them into up to date documents
  • Establish and maintain a structured filing system for all company documents, both digital and physical.
  • Manage the document approval process, including reviewing, revising, and tracking changes.
  • Ensure documents are easily accessible and retrievable by authorized personnel.
  • Maintain document confidentiality and security by implementing appropriate access control.
Version Control:
  • Ensure all documents are properly versioned and reflect the most up-to-date information.
  • Track document revisions, updates, and approvals to prevent errors and redundancy.
  • Maintain an audit trail of document changes and approvals for compliance and tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
